Golf HQ is a members' tool for booking tee times and following your golf. This page explains what it stores about you, why, and how to have it deleted.
What's stored
- Your account: name, email, phone (if given) and a one-way hash of your Golf HQ password. Nobody can read your password.
- Logins you choose to add: Burhill booking, Burhill members' site and England Golf. These are stored encrypted and only used to act for you: booking, reading your bookings, receipts and scorecards.
- Your golf: bookings, England Golf rounds and hole scores, handicap, birdies, matches you play in.
- Shot Tracker (only if you use it): where each shot was hit from on the course, the club and the distance. Your phone's location is only read while the round screen is open, or when you tap a club tag. Only you can see it. The private key for club tags can only log shots on your rounds, and you can replace it on My bag.
- Purchases & balance (only if you switch it on): your bar and shop receipts and top-ups.
- Your member group (Basic, Plus or Elite), which decides which features you see, and until when if it's for a set time.
- Usage: when you sign in and which days you use Golf HQ, so the admins can see it's working. No tracking or adverts.
Who can see it
- You see all of your own data.
- Other members see your name, handicap, your birdies on the Birdie Tracker, and, in a match you play in, your scorecard for that round.
- Admins see member names, when they last used Golf HQ and which features they've set up. Never passwords, logins, receipts or balances.
- It's never sold or shared with anyone else.
Your choices
- Remove any saved login at any time in Settings.
- Switch Purchases & Balance off on the Purchases page.
- The iPhone widget uses a private link that only shows the open play calendar. Make a new one on the iPhone Widget page to stop the old one.
- Delete your account at the bottom of Settings. Your account and everything stored about you is removed straight away. A match you created stays for the other players, without your name as its creator.
